The physical and mental benefits from Yoga are numerous and all encompassing. This low impact workout is designed to improve flexibility and mobility, but also bring you a calmness of mind.

Yoga is simply a great way to de-stress, keep your mind quiet and work on the overall function of your body. Each yoga pose has specific physical and mental benefits, giving you a multi-faceted workout like no other. Exercise is often considered to be all high-intensity – fast running and heavy
weights, but that truly isn’t the case. Yoga classes are designed to relax your mind and body, while still providing physical benefits.

On a spiritual level the goal of yoga is to balance body, mind and spirit. You don’t always associate a trip to the gym with relaxation, but in our Wellington yoga classes, that’s exactly what we want you to achieve! On a physical level the goal of yoga is to lengthen, stretch and strengthen muscles throughout the body.

Your instructor will choose a focus for the class, be it hamstrings, hip mobility, fluidity, power Yoga, core strength, relaxation or balance. Each class is designed to target different muscles, but every class is still focused on your calmness of mind. Don’t worry if you’ve never tried yoga before. We love welcoming new folks into our classes, and our instructors are there to help you along every step of the way.

Come along in gym wear which is easy to move in and you feel comfortable wearing. Yoga mats, straps and blocks are provided, however you’re also welcome to bring your own.
